“How to start a business” is a blended learning course, which is divided into 4 modules and has 26 submodules. The course is designed with an aim to explain easily how to start a business if you have no previous experience. This course will give you all the information you need to start a profitable business. This course covers all business fundamentals, starting from choosing the right business, customer relations, branding needs, use of technology, marketing strategies, business, and operations planning, etc.
14 classes / 14 days are required to complete the course. Each submodule will have a few exercises at the end. Exercises will be “true-false” type questions and marking correct answers. Following is the syllabus of the course :
Introduction (Module - 1)
Introduction - Basic discussion of business start-up strategies, "The Big Four" to ensure business success, and how to plan a proper business are the topics covered in this module.
Marketing - The influence and growth of every business depend on marketing. This module discusses in detail how to brand a product or service by understanding customer needs, through a proper marketing strategy.
Sales – After marketing comes sales. From determining the price of the product or service to increasing sales, topics such as planning, customer relations, digital marketing, various sales strategies, etc. will be discussed in this module.
Running your business (Module – 4)
Essentials in Business Management - There are some essentials to keep in mind for starting a business, such as - financial management, manpower, use of technology, registration, country laws, etc. The last module of the course covers the essentials for running this business.
